Not much to say, except its taper time!! I am finding more time to do other things. Some things went well this week and others didn't. I cut one swim workout short because I ran out of time. My runs have been pretty short and my biking has been a little less.

I have been to the Aurora Reservoir 3 times in the last three weeks. Each time I have done a total of 4,000 yards. Each one I have timed and I have not improved my time. OK, so I have but all are within a minute.

I have come out of the reservoir after the first 2,000 yards...run a little and jump back in. The last two times my fingers and toes went numb. The hot tub seems like a good idea??? I have tried a neoprene cap and it does nothing. I can manage the swim, but it's not my best swimming so far. I will finish, but I will be cold afterwards. How to warm up...in a hurry. I think I might just deal...jump on the bike and hope I warm up??

I am just trying to figure out how I would get out of the hot tub once I am in it!
Great taper week for you..

Enjoy your taper!

Sorry the neoprene lid didn't help. Not sure neoprene booties will either but perhaps all the adrenaline and excitement you'll have on race day will help you stay warmer. Good luck!!
