Another cold swim

It's been a long day...

I had a Rocky Mountain Road Runners Race today. It was only 2.4 miles! Short, but fast. Ran it in 14:16. That's under 6min per mile. Too fast...

Went to church.

Went to a Graduation Party. My second cousin, Josh, graduated from High School. Cool party. Lots of family present.

Came back home (was way to late)

Nicole and I went to the Reservoir again today. Nicole brought her book and she read on the beach area while I swam. Thanks Nicole!!

The water was said to be 56-60 degrees. The first 2,000 yards was pretty cool. It didn't seem too cold.

I got out, ran just a little bit, and jumped back in.

The last 1,000 yards was tough. My fingers and toes were cold. So cold....
So cold they went numb.

Oh yeah...it was extremely windy too. I did pretty good considering the circumstances, but I can't wait till the water warms up a little more.

We drove home and I was shivering (just like last time) and Nicole turned on the heater. So nice!!! What am I going to do for Ironman? I won't have time to dink around. Hurry up...dry off...and go...Which means I will have to warm back up on the bike...Arg. Me and 2,000+ other athletes. Crazy!!!!!!!!!

I heard they are going to have hot tubs for us to sit in after we get out of the lake! Wouldn't that be nice?

What a 2 minute hot tub break? Does that count as your time?

Have you been wearing a Neoprene cap on those swims?

I've done an Olympic distance in 57degs.. I was ok without it.. Not sure we'll see that temp though!

Yeah, I've heard that a neoprene cap helps when swimming in really cold water. I've not tried it myself but would if I had to!
